KCRep Youth Summer Theatre Intensive is a free, four-week program open to all young artists ages 13-18 in the Kansas City area. inSYTE artists engage in an interactive rehearsal process designed to cultivate creative and life skills as they collaborate with KCRep professional teaching artists to create an original work of theatre. Together, they build a performance that is their own and perform it for the public on KCRep’s main stage, Spencer Theatre. The Youth Summer Theatre Intensive is an open and inclusive program that fosters the exploration of each student’s artistic potential, so no previous theatre experience is required to participate.

In connection with KCRep’s mission to pursue theatrical excellence, build community, and cultivate passionate artists, the Youth Summer Theatre Intensive promises four weeks of excitement and discovery for teen artists who are ready to engage with other young, creative thinkers to share the stories central to their lives.
