Grammy Award Winning Algebra Blessett is a contemporary R&B singer & native of Atlanta, Ga. The gift and tutelage of music was given to her by her mother, a national gospel singer & bass player. After graduating from North Atlanta School of Performing Arts, she furthered her education at Morris Brown College, while recording and touring as a backing vocalist. Her debut album Purpose stayed on the US Billboard R&B chart for 14 weeks. Her second album, Recovery, reached #23 Billboard 200, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Her singles Nobody but You & 4evermore reached Top 10 on the R&B Billboard charts, and the remake of Heaven reached #1 on the Gospel Billboard charts in 2023 and has since received Proclamations from the Mayor of Atlanta. She received Songwriter Grammys for her collaborations on Radio Music Society and Voyage to India while being a featured vocalist on the projects. Algebra’s theatre credits include her role as Sandra in the Off-Broadway production of FELA! (Southwest Arts Center); Rebirth (Fox Theatre).
