Mia Ramsey is a gospel recording artist, Minister of Music, and Elder at Kingdom Word Ministries. She is the Executive Director of the Kansas City Boys Choir and Girls Choir, overseeing youth programs that integrate music and art therapy. A former radio talk show host, she is also a seasoned performer. Her education in Public Relations and Communications includes Bishop Hogan High School, Prairie View A&M University, and the University of Missouri System. She received critical acclaim for her lead role in Mahalia: A Gospel Musical at The Black Box Theater and appeared in The Color Purple at the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre. She is making her KCRep debut as Church Lady 1/Ensemble. She is the author of Out of the Hard Place – 50 Things I’ve Learned in 50 Years, a published collection of life lessons and reflections.
