Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Corey Davis is a multi-hyphenate creative whose artistic journey spans music, theater, and photography. From starring in classic productions like Fences and Little Shop of Horrors as a teen, to studying West African music with the Nubian Theatre Company and Muntu Dance Theater in Chicago, Corey’s passion for storytelling has always been center stage. While earning a degree in Business at the University of Memphis, he carved a path through both the performing arts and education, later founding The Bantaba Dance Company and teaching African drum and history across Memphis schools. Since relocating to Kansas City, Corey has performed with acclaimed ensembles such as Sunu and Back Alley Brass Band and serves as lead percussionist with the Traditional Music Society. Beyond the stage, Corey teaches Photography Class and is an internationally published fashion photographer, with work featured in over 25 magazines worldwide. His artistry continues to bridge rhythm, culture, and visual storytelling.
