KCRep: debut. Ben Tervort is a musician and recording/mixing engineer currently based in Kansas City that can be heard in a wide variety of musical situations. With an emphasis on improvised music, he has performed as a bassist all around the midwest. Having performed with jazz artists such as Adam Larson, Matt Otto, and Eddie Moore, as well as national touring acts like the Four Freshman, Ben is in high demand for his musical taste, consistency, and desire to always bring a fresh perspective to any performance. In addition to Jazz, he has an extensive background performing classically, attended the Eastern Music Festival as a student, and has performed with large ensembles at both the University of Kansas and University of Missouri Kansas City. Ben also loves performing original works and songs inspired by multiple genres, and regularly performs with the groups Barnaby Bright and Joel vs Joel.
