Enjoy free staged readings of exciting new works; our Monday Night Playwright Series offers you the chance to experience world-premiere plays before they hit our stages. Join KCRep on select Monday nights during the season and step into the world of a new play as it’s being built. You’ll meet fantastic playwrights whose work electrify stages across the country!
Monday Night Playwright Series events take place in the Spencer Theatre Donor Lounge and are always free and open to the public.
The Monday Night Playwright Series is part of our OriginKC: New Works Program. Forwarding Kansas City as a major national center for the development and production of new works, our OriginKC: New Works Program offers playwrights the financial, creative, and artistic resources required to develop vital, diverse, theatrical work.
