Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

Sep 6 - Sep 29 at Spencer Theatre

Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece packs all the power today as when it premiered in 1955. The story of “Maggie the Cat,” her tormented husband Brick, and their night at patriarch Big Daddy’s birthday party remains a powerful study of character, conflict, and suspense. Even as Big Daddy decries the “mendacity” of others, family secrets and revelations threaten to tear the clan apart. A feast for favorite Kansas City actors, Cat, observes The Kansas City Star, remains “as emotionally true and intense as any modern drama.” You must not miss one of the landmark plays of the 20th century.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is a play in 3 acts. It runs for 2 hours and 50 minutes with 2 10-minute intermissions.
Please note that clove cigarettes and cigars will be utilized during this performance.

“Raw, explosive, steamy, sultry... A pot-boiler of a play. Vanessa Severo leads a dynamite cast as Maggie the Cat, the sexually frustrated wife of Brick Pollitt [portrayed by Nathan Darrow of “House of Cards”]… This production is worthy of national recognition… Compelling, thought-provoking, rough, sublime, shocking–it’s all there. This is Tennessee Williams at his finest. BOOK TICKETS NOW.”

Bob Evans, KC Applauds

“A gleaming Cadillac production, deftly directed, elegantly designed and festooned with vivid performances from one of the best casts you’re likely to see on any stage.”

Robert Trussell, KC Studio
